EPS Differentiators

The below listed key differentiators position Excel Public School as a unique and transformative educational institution, dedicated to preparing students for a successful future in an ever-evolving world.

Excel Public School (EPS) is shaped by the visionary leadership of its founders, Prof. M H Dhananjaya, an esteemed educationalist, and Mr D Sudhanva, a successful edu-tech entrepreneur. Their commitment to holistic development, innovation, and humane schooling has transformed EPS into a leading educational hub. With decades of combined experience, they ensure the school adheres to global best practices and the latest educational innovations. Their foresight positions EPS as a trailblazer in 21st-century learning, equipping students for both academic success and meaningful societal contributions. Guided by this vision, a dedicated team of passionate educators align themselves with the vision of ‘Empowering young minds toward a progressive and humane society’.

EPS offers a contemporary curriculum that aligns with the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF). By integrating global best practices, the school emphasizes skill-based learning through interdisciplinary projects, fostering a comprehensive understanding of complex topics. Competency-based assessments prioritize students’ understanding and application of knowledge over rote memorization. The curriculum also features technology integration, allowing students to effectively utilize digital tools. Experiential learning engages students in hands-on activities, while project-based learning encourages innovative problem-solving. Field trips and outdoor learning enhance educational experiences, equipping students with essential skills and a mind-set for navigating an evolving world. This comprehensive approach ensures that students are adaptable, responsible, and well-prepared for the challenges ahead.

EPS employs a dynamic and constructivist approach to learning, emphasizing experiential education and problem-solving. The curriculum is designed to foster creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking skills essential for students’ success in a rapidly changing world. By integrating STEAM education, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship programmes, EPS ensures that students are prepared for future careers. Continuous updates to teaching methodologies are informed by global partnerships and professional development opportunities, allowing the school to provide a world-class education that equips students for the challenges of tomorrow.

At the heart of EPS’ transformative education are qualified and trained facilitators who go beyond traditional teaching roles. These facilitators act as guides, helping students navigate experiential, inquiry-based, and project-based learning. Each facilitator possesses a strong foundation in their subject area and a deep understanding of pedagogical innovations that align with global best practices and the NEP 2020. Their commitment to student-centered learning fosters an environment where learners feel supported and empowered to explore their interests and capabilities.

EPS promotes learner autonomy as a cornerstone of its educational approach, empowering students to take charge of their learning journeys. Through self-directed projects, choice-based subjects, and personalized learning pathways, students are encouraged to explore their interests and make independent decisions. This sense of ownership cultivates critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, preparing students to be confident, self-motivated individuals capable of navigating challenges and seizing opportunities both in school and beyond.

At EPS, a stress-free learning environment is cultivated, liberating education from conventional rituals and rote memorization. The focus is on how to learn rather than simply what to learn, which encourages students to develop critical thinking and lifelong learning skills. A highly collaborative and engaging relationship between teachers and learners creates an atmosphere where students feel comfortable exploring ideas and expressing their thoughts. This supportive environment nurtures curiosity, creativity, and self-confidence, allowing students to thrive academically and personally without the pressures often associated with traditional education systems.

EPS leverages technology as a catalyst for transformative learning experiences, ensuring students are equipped with the tools needed for the modern world. Access to state-of-the-art ICT infrastructure and robust in-house technology platforms enhances the educational experience beyond traditional methods. The seamless integration of technology promotes experiential and explorative learning, enabling students to engage in interactive digital simulations, collaborate in real-time, and pursue personalized learning pathways. The commitment to blended learning ensures that technology complements face-to-face teaching, creating a dynamic environment that mirrors global best practices in education.

At EPS, the development of essential 21st-century skills is a priority. The presence of the state-of-the-art Innovation Centre, Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL), and various specially designed learning spaces allows students to explore fields such as nanotechnology, space sciences, and robotics, just to name a few. These programmes provide competitive advantages and expose students to the skills and technologies of tomorrow. Mentored by trained resource personnel, students engage in creative and innovative projects, preparing them to compete with the best young minds in innovation and creativity.

EPS is dedicated to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students, regardless of their backgrounds or abilities. The school promotes diversity and encourages respect for individual differences through personalized learning pathways, differentiated instruction, and a robust support system. Every student is given the opportunity to succeed, creating an atmosphere where they feel valued and empowered. By embracing cultural, intellectual, and socio-economic diversity, EPS cultivates empathy, mutual respect, and collaboration within the school community, enriching the learning experience for everyone.

EPS places a strong emphasis on value education, nurturing not only academic excellence but also the character and moral development of its students. Through a curriculum embedded with lessons in empathy, integrity, and social responsibility, the school cultivates compassionate, ethical, and respectful individuals. Students engage in community service and develop a deep sense of justice and fairness, equipping them to make positive contributions to society. This focus on humane and value-based education creates well-rounded individuals who lead with kindness and a strong moral compass in all aspects of life.
