Our Kindergarten is a unique place where attention is paid to make sure that the children enjoy every aspect of schooling in their formative years. Special attention and care is taken to ensure the physical and emotional safety of the tiny tots. There are no homework, formal tests and examinations at the Kindergarten level. The periodical assessment of the various faculties of the children is made in an informal way and special efforts are made to remediate the areas where improvement is required. Special attention and care is taken to ensure developmental gains to the tiny tots in areas of verbal and non-verbal skills, structural knowledge, short term and long-term memory, manual dexterity, problem solving ability, abstraction and analytical and conceptual skills. For the overall development of the tiny tots, regular assessment will be made on the following areas:

The teaching-learning process at EPS Kindergarten is oriented to child development using a blend of Kindergarten and Montessori methods aimed at arousing curiosity, imagination and sense of wonder, using a variety of materials, local and customised, arts and crafts, language, stories, songs, simulations, field visits, dance, group activities, etc.
The learning activities include:
- Discriminating sensory perceptions of vision, hearing, smell, taste and feelings through sensing objects in the environment.
- Executing gross body movements
- Executing fine motor movements
- Storytelling and recalling, conversing, reading, show-tell-draw-play combinations
- Exploring and discovering their environment and interacting with peers and adults on numbers, parts of an object, naming, labelling, counting, sorting, matching, identifying, classifying, sequencing, constructing, etc.
- Living together through forming and sustaining relationship and friendship through role plays, gardening, celebration of birthdays and festivals, team activities, sports and games, etc.
