Welcome to the Online Engagement for the Pre-primary and Primary Classes of Excel Public School!
Unlike the higher classes, we, at EPS, are not going to introduce live online classes for our younger learners. We are, instead, sharing some self-paced, pre-recorded learning contents and activities. These learning materials, on the basis of the learning objectives and skills involved, have been classified as Kindergarten, Classes 1&2 and Classes 3&4. Each activity will come with a brief description, like the title of the activity, expected learning outcomes, focused skills areas and date of posting. We would also encourage your ward to try doing some of those activities demonstrated by the teacher/s. In addition to the self-paced learning materials, we may also conduct some short live virtual sessions through the school’s YouTube channel, the details of which shall be intimated to you in advance.
The Learn Zone will have digital contents aimed at promoting the cognitive and affective skills of our young learners. While using both these resources, I would request the parents to allow the learner to progress at their own pace, without rushing through the contents. It will also have graded activities which children can do on their own (assisted/unassisted), following the instructions given. You may have to provide them some materials, that are easily available and inexpensive. Activity Zone provides the option (not compulsory) of uploading the works done by students for their classmates to go through and enjoy, and NOT for evaluation or grading. We will be publishing only selected contents from among the uploaded materials for others to view.
While these activities are developed by our teachers, keeping in mind the ability of our learners to independently learn from it, adequate parental support and supervision for the effective utilization of these learning contents would be appreciated. You may use the resources at a time convenient to both the parent/s and student. It is not advisable to leave digital gadgets with young learners, without ensuring adult/parental supervision.
